The 2025+ Yamaha R9 takes the CP3 platform in a sharper, more focused direction, with proper supersport ergonomics and track-ready intent. But like every factory CP3 exhaust, the stock system still compromises sound, weight and performance.

Performance and tuning
Our CP3 systems use a high-flow catalytic converter and removable dB killer to keep noise civil for street riding while still delivering meaningful gains. On a tuned setup, you can expect up to 12hp more at the wheel, stronger torque through the low and midrange, and a smoother, more linear throttle feel, especially when driving out of corners.
For everyday road use, the system runs safely on the factory tune when used with the included standard baffle. If you’re pairing it with intake mods or removing the baffle for maximum flow, an ECU flash or dyno tune is strongly recommended to get the most out of the setup.

Flanker muffler – R9 specific
The R9 system is offered exclusively with our Flanker muffler, chosen to suit the bike’s aggressive supersport styling and focused performance.
- Modern carbon-tipped design with stainless mesh grille
- Deep burble at low RPM with a sharp, race-style edge higher in the rev range
- Compact underslung layout that blends seamlessly into the R9’s bodywork
- Louder and sportier than stock, yet comfortable with the included baffle (even quieter with the optional Quietcore kit)
It delivers a clean, premium finish without distracting from the R9’s sleek tail and fairing lines.
R9-specific design and fitment
This is not a reworked MT-09 or XSR900 system. The R9 exhaust is purpose-built from the ground up to suit the bike’s revised chassis and geometry.
- Bespoke mounting hardware to suit the R9’s unique pickup points
- Dedicated pipe routing that sits much tighter under the bike
- Improved ground clearance and reduced exposure, ideal for track use and less likely to be damaged in a drop or low-side
- Clean, tucked-in appearance with no bulky factory exhaust box
Each kit includes headers, collector, link pipe, high-flow catalytic converter, Flanker muffler, springs, fasteners, and removable baffle insert.
Euro 5+ Compliant
Euro 5+ compliant bikes use twin O2 sensors in the exhaust. This requirement has already rolled out across Europe and is progressively being adopted in other markets from 2025 onward. While some Australian and US-delivered bikes may still use a single sensor, we're proactively supplying all R9 systems with the option to run 2x O2 sensors. Simply use the included bung + block-off bolt if your bike has a single O2 sensor.
