The 2024+ Yamaha MT09 takes the CP3 platform in a sharper, more refined direction with a lighter chassis, improved electronics, and a more connected ride feel. But like every factory CP3 exhaust, the stock system still compromises sound, weight, and overall presence.
The Kelpi Slipstream exhaust system redefines how a track-inspired exhaust should sit under the bike.
Designed with a tighter, more underslung layout than our traditional CP3 system, Slipstream pulls everything further inboard tighter under the engine for a cleaner, more integrated finish, all while unlocking the unmistakable character of Yamaha’s triple.
Expect a raspier, more purposeful tone, stronger midrange drive, sharper throttle response, and a noticeable weight saving over the bulky factory unit.

Performance & Tuning
Slipstream uses a high-flow catalytic converter and removable baffle to maintain street usability while still delivering meaningful gains.
On a tuned setup, you can expect:
• Up to 10–12hp at the wheel
• Stronger torque through the low and midrange
• Smoother, more linear throttle response
• Faster engine pickup under load
For everyday riding, the system runs safely on the factory tune when used with the included standard baffle.
If you’re pairing it with intake modifications or running without the baffle for maximum flow, an ECU flash or dyno tune is strongly recommended to extract the full benefit of the system.

Slipstream is paired with our Flanker muffler, chosen for its compact proportions and modern finish.

Euro 5+ compliant MT09 models run twin O2 sensors. Slipstream systems are supplied ready to accommodate both sensors.
If your bike runs a single sensor (varies by market), simply use the included bung and block-off bolt.
